A gold medal winner at the Lalit Kala Akademi, this intaglio work is an exceptional example of Devraj Dakoji's gifted printmaking practice. Born in 1944 in Hyderabad, Dakoji graduated from the College of Fine Arts and Architecture in Hyderabad in 1965. Later, Dakoji recieved a scholarship to attend M. S. University, Baroda, where he studied printmaking. His education continued at the Chelsea School of Arts in London, in 1975. Now, Dakoji is based in New York where he collaborates and teaches as a Master Printer at the Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop.
