Framed: 102 by 86cm., 40¼ by 33¾in.
The canvas has not been lined. There is craquelure visible, notably to the upper half and the lighter pigments. There is good impasto. There is some minor specks of surface dirt. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals two spots of retouching to the inside arch and some scattered minor flecks of retouching to the centre, above the figures in the shadows.
