A FINE COPY IN RED MOROCCO. "One of the most beautiful German works on insects of the period" (Landwehr). This is a translation of Der monatlich herausgegebenen Insecten Belustigung. Nissen dates the book to 1764-1768 and it appears in many records thus. Landwehr, since the privilege leaf in volume 1 is dated 27 June 1765 and the portrait dated 1782, dates the work to 1765-1782. The supplement, which is scarce, and not present in this set, was published sometime after 1787.
