An English Silver Torah Shield, probably Barnett Bros., Birmingham, 1911
tightly engraved with flowers and ferns below cut-out crown, centered by the Tablets, with Hebrew dedication inscription
Height 8⅜in. (21.4 cm)
The lower panel reads: “Donated by David ben Moses Tamposki[?] to the Talmud Torah Etz Chaim Synagogue, Jerusalem, in eternal memory of the soul of Samson Moses ben David, who passed away 20 Menahem Av [5]651 [August 24, 1891].”
