A Large Damascened Silver and Copper Dish, probably Damascus, early 20th century
the center with the Tablets, flanked by figures of Moses and Aaron, with Hebrew and Arabic inscriptions
Diameter 22¾in. (57.8 cm)
Inscribed at the top, “The Ten Commandments,” and below, “Crown of the Torah,” followed by the Ten Commandments.
At the base: “I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Me” (Ex. 19:4).
