hexagonal tapered bowl chased with flowers in strapwork on matted ground, openwork vase-shaped stem, hexagonal foot, marked on cup and foot

Height 8½in. (21.6 cm)

Hans Jakob Bauer I (Seling 13690), master in 1622, died 1653, was a prolific maker, whose work included pieces of princely proportions and quality, some preserved in the Moscow Kremlin.
