The canvas is not lined. The paint surface is in good and stable condition under a fairly soiled varnish. Under UV light, selective cleaning to figure's face, neck, and dress; areas of inpainting visible in lace head covering at top, left, and bottom; fine lines of retouching to mitigate pigment separation in her hair and to background at right; scattered areas of inpainting to background at bottom and upper left.
