Overall in very good condition. This delicate yet substantial work achieves impressive harmony between its form, scale, interior “paperweight” decoration, and exterior “cameo” decoration. When viewed firsthand, the scent bottle has a very satisfying presence and hand-feel. The body of the vase is decorated with three different magenta flowers, one with a soft yellow accent to the flower center. The leaves are articulated in a highly complementary bright kelly green hue. The glass with occasional minute air bubbles and particulate inclusions which are inherent in the making and not visually distracting. The glass surfaces throughout with scattered, very fine and light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The original interior glass stopper with some minor fleabites along the upper edge consistent with age and handling, not visually distracting. The silver surfaces throughout with scattered, very fine and light surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling, and with scattered minor areas of darkening. The recessed areas of the silver collar including seam between the glass bottle and silver collar with some very minor traces of polish residue, only visible upon close inspection. The inner surfaces of the aperture with some concentrated surface residue and soiling, consistent with age. The cap secures easily to the threaded rim. A superb, jewel-like work displaying impeccable craftsmanship.
