the russet iron face mask with fierce expression (ressei mempo), inlaid in droplets of gold and silver, flared nostrils and open mouth, detachable nose plate, the ear plates pierced, standing flanges (yadome) to the cheeks, red lacquer interior, single tier throat protector with spaced lacing in blue braid, stenciled Dutch leather edging
