Quinta do Noval 1970
u. 2bn, 1vts, soiled labels, 4 detached, Berry Bros embossed metal capsules, 1 slightly damaged, 4 slightly corroded
At 50 years old, an explosion of fruit on the nose, plums, damsons and prunes. Ultra scented and utterly charming. Incredible liquorice and cherries on the palate, so luscious and fruity and so completely bereft of a 'spirity' finish. I have always thought that Noval 1970 is perfection in Port - and it is.
