Two Late Horizon Objects of Avian Form, Circa 200 - 500 AD

Comprising a Bronze Coca Spoon in the form of a toucan, and a Carved Shell Figure of a parrot, perhaps a thumb grip from an atlatl

Height of the parrot: 1 1/2 in (3.8 cm); Height of the coca spoon: 3 1/2 in (8.9 cm)

The coca spoon in very good, intact, condition; note that the wings would originally have been inlaid. Good detail to the beak and the large, round eyes. Has a stand. The shell bird is in very good condition overall. The turquoise bead set into the proper right is replaced. The beak is pierced all the way through in a nice detail. The shell bird is firmly attached to its small plexiglass block base.
