oval with scalloped edges, the lid enamelled en plein with an allegory of love and war, surrounded by roses and forget-me-nots, on an opaque turquoise enamel ground, the sides and base also in turquoise enamel, apparently unmarked

ovale à bords chantournés, le couvercle émaillé en plein d'une allégorie de l'amour et de la guerre, entourée de roses et de myosotis, sur un fond d'émail turquoise translucide, les côtés et la base également en émail turquoise, apparemment non poinçonnée
