Nike Air Max 1/97 'Sean Wotherspoon' Dual Signed by Sean Wotherspoon | US 10

Released for Air Max Day in 2018, this colourful Air Max was spearheaded by famous sneakerhead and vintage store ‘Round Two’ founder, Sean Wotherspoon. Along with Wotherspoon, the design team included 12 "Revolutionairs", such as celebrity jeweller Ben Baller and hip-hop artist and model A$AP Nast.

From a design standpoint, the pair is an exploration of the Nike Air Max 1 and Air Max 97 (the upper is borrowed from the Air Max 97 and the sole from the Air Max 1) to create a unique amalgamation of two iconic Nike designs. The pastel shades and corduroy upper are inspired by vintage Nike windbreakers and bucket hats.

With a variety of hidden motifs from the designers, including 'VA to LA' embroideries on the heel, crashing wave velcro-patches on the tongues, and special 'Have A Nike Day' on the insoles, this highly unique pair is a coveted one by the collecting community.

This pair comes signed on both midsoles and the box by Sean Wotherspoon. This lot is accompanied by a letter from James Spence Authentication in regards to the signatures.
