An early Victorian parcel-gilt, marquetry and oak centre sofa


the four triangular stuffed seats within planked, down-curved arms with crockets and compound turned rosewood and blocked supports, with rosewood and ebony inlay and including carved gilt rosettes on a blue painted ground, the adapted crenellated centre now containing a tole jardinière, on brass cappings and castors, covered in a William Morris style woven fabric
