A Vincennes cup and saucer

circa 1754-55


gobelet 'Hébert' et soucoupe, of the second size, the saucer with lobed panels, painted with flower trails issuing from finely tooled gilt swags, with bleu-celéste bands at the rims, interlaced LL marks in blue, containing date letter B for 1755 to cup, A for 1754 to saucer, the cup with painter's mark fleur-de-lys for Vincent Taillandier (active as a painter of flowers and ground patterns from 1753-90), the saucer with unidentified painter's mark of three dots in triangle form
