Cameo with a bust of Apollo

the mount with illegible control mark
cameo: 24.8mm., 0.97in.
brooch: 30.4mm., 1.20in.
The model is very similar to a cameo representing the Apollo Belvedere by the celebrated engraver Benedetto Pistrucci (1784-1855) in the Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg (inv. no. K-443). It is possible that the present gem was cut after Pistrucci's model.
