This work is in good condition overall, taking its age into account. The sheet is laid down to a canvas which is well-stretched. The media layer is stable, and the colors are vibrant. Several artist pinholes are present intermittently along the extreme edges and at each of the extreme corners. The sheet presents with a darker toned 1-inch area at the extreme upper left corner, which likely corresponds to a previous repair. A couple of very minor tears each measuring no more than 3/4 inches are present at the extreme upper edge; along with a 1/2-inch vertical tear in the upper right quadrant and a 1-inch diagonal tear in the lower left quadrant, in the background. These are all stable. Under raking light inspection, a consolidated area containing several faint minor spots of foxing is becomes apparent in the upper left quadrant, in the background. The work is ready to hang. Framed under museum glass.
Framed dimensions: 42 1/4 by 32 1/2 in.
