The canvas is unlined. Inspection under UV light reveals retouchings to the composition, the most prominent of which is an area to the sky (approx. 7cm.). There are fine lines of craquelure with associated pigment loss and some further instances of pigment loss that correlate to the aforementioned retouchings. The canvas is slightly undulating and there are a few impacts only visible under raking light. There is some light frame abrasion to the extreme edges. There is some surface dirt. This work is in overall good condition.
