The canvas is not lined and the edges are taped. Inspection under UV light reveals no obvious signs of retouching. There are fine lines of craquelure and paint shrinkage throughout with a few very minor associated flecks of paint loss in places. There is some frame abrasion with remnants of gold leaf along the edges. There is some light surface dirt. This work is in overall very good condition.
