The canvas is unlined and the edges are taped. Inspection under UV light reveals a few pinprick sized retouchings to the extreme lower left corner but otherwise no other obvious signs of retouching. The work is attached to its frame in four places along the stretcher bars and so was not viewed out of its frame. There are some very fine lines of craquelure to the artist's signature only visible upon close inspection. There is some light historic abrasion to the left edge likely a result of a previous framing arrangement whilst the paint was still wet. There is some light wear to the extreme edges consistent with age and handling. The colours retain a wonderful vibrancy. This work is in overall very good condition.
