The panel is stable. Inspection under UV light reveals a thick varnish through which the UV light cannot fully penetrate however it does not show any obvious signs of retouching. There are some fine lines of craquelure and paint shrinkage in places. There are some small nicks to the edges of the board and some frame abrasion with some small associated paint losses to the extreme edges. There is some surface dirt and gilt remnants from the frame along the upper and lower edges. This work is in overall very good condition.
