brush and ink and wash on paper
57 by 76.4cm., 22½ by 30⅛in.
Framed: 81.5 by 100cm., 32⅛ by 39⅜in.
Executed on 11th June 1960.
Executed on a thick cream Japan paper, not laid down and attached to the mount in two places along the upper and lower edges, floating in the overmount. All four edges are deckled. The sheet is slightly time-stained and there are some handling creases in places, the most prominent of which are to the left edge, none of which are visually distracting. There are a few tiny accretions in places and some tape remnants and paper skinning to parts of the edges of the verso, relating to a previous mounting arrangement. This work is in overall very good condition.
