charcoal, pastel and chalk on card

71.8 by 46.7 cm., 28¼ by 18⅜ in.

This work will be included in the additional volume to the Catalogo Ragionato dell'Opera pittorica di Gino Severini, currently being prepared by Daniela Fonti and Romana Severini Brunori.

Executed on buff coloured paper, not laid down and hinged to the mount along three places on the upper edge. There are four sensitively repaired tears to the upper edge, each approximately 2cm. There are some spots of foxing, scattered discoloration and surface accretions in places. The sheet is time stained. The colours are wonderfully vibrant. This work is in overall good condition.
