Paysanne allongée

stamped B.M (lower right)

pastel and pencil on tracing paper

15 by 20.9cm., 5⅞ by 8¼in.

Framed: 33.3 by 40.2cm., 13⅛ by 15¾in.

Executed in Mezy in 1891.

The authenticity of this work has been confirmed by M. Yves Rouart.

Executed on tracing paper, not laid down, hinged to the mount in two places along the upper edge. The left and lower edges have been unevenly torn, and the upper and right edges have been unevenly cut. The sheet is time-stained and the medium slightly faded. There is a small paper loss to the right part of the lower edge (not visible when framed) and which is probably inherent to when the paper was torn by the artist. This work is in overall good condition.
