The Experts and Heirs Association in Defense of Óscar Domínguez has confirmed the authenticity of this work.

Executed on a full sheet of cream wove paper and hinged to the mount in two places along the upper edge. There are two Dom Elco watermarks visible under raking light. There is some light flattened creasing to the sheet including two diagonal creases to the upper corners, one to the extreme left edge and another to the extreme right edge, with further instances as a result of age and handling and light surface dirt. There are a couple of light spots of paper skinning to the upper right corner. There is a tiny smudge to the woman's left proper arm. The sheet is slightly time stained. There is some fading to the ink. This work is in overall good condition.
