Signor Abebe

signed and dated 1962 (lower left); titled (on the reverse)

oil on board

93 by 49cm., 36½ by 19¼in.

framed: 91 by 47cm., 35¾ by 18½in.

The board appears to be sturdy, however it exhibits a very slight warp. The work is loose in the frame and would benefit from being further secured. Brown paper on the reverse of the board is peeling off in places. All four framing edges of the work exhibit areas of surface loss of varying size. The most significant areas are along the upper edge, where the areas of loss measure approximately 20x10mm each (4 examples). Inspection under UV light reveals no clear signs of restoration or repair. Overall, the work appears to be in good condition.
