紅寶石配鑽石長項鏈
The detachable pendant-brooch of jardinière design, surmounted by a detachable clip-brooch, suspended from a necklace of geometric design, set throughout with carved rubies, ruby beads and old European-, single-cut, round and baguette diamonds, the necklace detachable into four sections, three of which may be worn as bracelets, length 28¾ inches; circa 1930s.
According to the Mauboussin archives, the necklace portion of the sautoir was originally designed to convert into four bracelets and has been modified to receive a later-added pendant. A certificate from Marguerite de Cerval for the necklace portion of the sautoir, noting this modification, will be provided to the purchaser by Sotheby’s.
