Paintings in Hospitals is the first and only national charity of its kind. Founded in 1959 the charity currently partners with 315 care organisations across the UK, lending its artworks and facilitating creative workshops. 2,173 artworks from the charity’s unique collection are on public display and nearly 10,000 patients and carers took part in art workshops and activities in 2021.  The charity receives no government funding and is wholly reliant on income from its fundraising activities. Paintings in Hospitals is a Registered Charity (1065963).
