Description
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969), key art transparency, US
Artist: Frank McCarthy (1924-2002)
Unframed: 8 x 10 in. (20 x 25 cm)
Framed: 14 1/4 x 16 3/8 x 1 3/4 in. (36.2 x 41.5 x 4.4 cm)
This transparency features different artwork to the posters. Most of the artwork is the same, with the exception of a topless Bond and a different pose/position and clothing being worn by Countess Tracy di Vicenzo. This transparency, which is very high quality, was specially produced by the studio for internal purposes during the marketing of the film.
The bespoke LED light box that has been made for this piece is suitable for UK and US electrical supplies, and has a separate lead for each country.
Transparencies are rare on the market.
This film was the sixth in the James Bond series produced by Eon Productions. It was directed by Peter R. Hunt, and stars George Lazenby as 007, a role that he would only play once.
