Produced as a limited edition of only 150 examples in platinum, the present watch was made honoring the Brazilian Formula One race car champion Ruben Barrichello. The unique design draws on the bezel, crown and chronograph push buttons. Heavily inspired by the racing world, the ceramic bezel mimics the ventilations on a disc brake while the buttons are a reminiscent of cooling ducts. The watch is offered in like new condition.

Born in 1972, Brazilian pilot Rubens Barrichello became a prominent figure in Formula One during the 1990’s and 2000’s. Rubens raced for the Jordan, William’s and Honda F1 teams but is best known for the years he spent at Ferrari in 2000’s, where he partnered up with the Michael Schumacher. He started in 183 Grand Prix races, getting 12 pole positions and winning 16 races total. He was runner-up in the world championships in 2002 and 2004, 3rd in 2001 and contributed to Ferrari’s 5 constructor’s championships during his time with the company.
