The Rolex GMT-Master reference 16750 superseded the 1675 in the early 1980s and was discontinued in 1988. The newly introduced reference brought to market several innovations to the GMT-Master, such as an increased water resistance to 100m and the new quick-date caliber 3075.
The ref. 16750 was chronologically fitted with two distinct types of dials: the initial matte dial (similar to the 1675) was followed by a gloss dial with white gold-circled indexes.
