In 1993 Audemars Piguet introduced the Royal Oak Offshore, a new version of the classic Royal Oak model designed by Emmanuel Gueit. The offshore shares many aesthetic elements of its predecessor, the octagonal bezel secured by screws, and a typically beautiful tapisserie dial. It does however boast much thicker proportions, increasing its sporting appeal while paying just homage to Genta's original design.
