Instantly reminiscent of another of his designs, the Royal Oak, this octagonal open-faced pocket watch retailed by Royama certainly impresses with its skeletonised movement, and bi-metallic, yellow and white gold case.

The movement is engraved and decorated in its entirety. While conventional in its layout the movement utilises an intricate system of bridges with incredibly fine wheels, with the winding and setting mechanisms having been miniaturised, to maximise empty space, thus creating a far greater, and far more pleasing sense of transparency.

What is more the case, with its white gold band and bow, features yellow gold diamond and sapphire set bezels, another interesting an infrequently seen attribute.

Interestingly this particular example is stamped GG to the movement, a small personal touch from the designer, but one that is scarcely seen on these types of timepieces making this a rarity in its own right.
