First conceived by Gerald Genta, the Cartier Pasha made its first debut in 1985. Its design was inspired by a vintage model created by Louis Cartier, specifically for the Pasha of Marrakech El Glaoui. The model is increasingly popular with collectors today.
The genious design of the modern Pasha by Gerald Genta is perfectly adapted for complications and multiple crowns and pushers. The present watch - the exclusive ref. 30011 - combines date, alarm as well as the moon-phase. The screw-down crown at 2 o'clock winds and sets the alarm clock using the 12-hour graduation at the center of the dial. The crown 4 o'clock is used to set the time. Finally, the pusher at 9 o'clock activates and disactivates the alarm. As such, one just presses this pusher at night to activate the alarm, and press it again in the morning to stop it.
