A highly regarded and respected watchmaker, Roger Dubuis had a celebrated career during his time at Longines and Patek Philippe where he was credited to the repairing and servicing of outstanding vintage chronographs from Longines and the creation and design of highly important movements from Patek Philippe.
The present example of the Sympathie collection is one of the two most important collections of Roger Dubuis’ creation since the founding of his workshop. Made in a limited edition of 28 pieces in 2002, it features a highly complicated bi-retrograde perpetual calendar movement that is a signature complication of his brand. Portrayed in a iridescent mother-of-pearl dial, the reference S40.5632 is certainly a rare gem in the market.
