Gérald Genta is today arguably one of the most important and notable figures of the watch industry of the last 50 years. Not only was he decades ahead of his time, designing the first Grande Complication wristwatch, he designed many of the most sought-after watches of today such as the Nautilus, Royal Oak and Pasha. In addition to designing wristwatches, Genta also created some of the most beautiful modern clocks ever made.
The present clock is one such example. Manufactured towards the end of the 21st Century the clock features gold, diamonds and mother-of-pearl panels. The time is distinguish by the typical perpetual calendar form clock at the top and the cage. In addition and in the style of Genta, there is a singing bird mechanism which once activated will provide a beautiful tune very reminiscent of the lovebirds perched on the inside.
