Together with the Lange family, Günter Blümlein was the man behind revitalizing A. Lange & Söhne as a brand in 1994. Pushing the boundaries for German watchmaking, he was in search for a perpetual calendar chronograph design that is at the same time, innovative and pays tribute towards traditional watchmaking. Finally in 2006, the Datograph Perpetual was conceived by the reference 410.025 in platinum, and followed by the present reference 410.030 in white gold. The platinum version was produced for 5 years, while the white gold version was only produced from 2009 to 2011. To the best of our knowledge, not over 100 pieces of the reference 410.030 were made. The mechanical calibre L952.1 has a power reserve of 36 hours, is composed of 556 parts and incorporated by a generous amount of complications. The grey dial on the other hand is beautifully designed with symmetrical harmony, featuring delicate roman numerals and a sophisticated tachymeter. In 2015, A. Lange & Söhne introduced the Datograph Perpetual reference 410.038, a successor of the present watch with a white gold case and similar grey dial, only replacing the Roman numerals with baton markers. A fine and uncommon piece of history from A. Lange & Söhne, the present watch is very elegant and perfect for important occasions, and complete with its box and certificate.
