Launched in 2009, the Zeitwerk was an instant success being the first mechanical wristwatch that displays hours and minutes with jumping numerals. The innovative concept is a rare gem in traditional German watchmaking as the digital time display creates one of the most readable dials in horological history. The time bridge tells time in a horizontal manner and is the signature of the collection’s inimitable design.

The biggest challenge of creating the movement is to make sure the energy is adequately drawn into every jumping minute. After more than 2 years of painstaking research, the result is prominent and the precise timing is controlled by a patented constant-force escapement, keeping the consistency in power output. The Zeitwerk being a horological marvel, established a category of its own and will be a collectible timepiece in years to come.
