A symbol of pure finesse, Richard Mille has always been the pioneer in using metal alloys beyond imagination in making watches, revolutionizing the community since its debut in 1999. With the vision to redefine the luxury sports watches category, each watch coming out of the factory incorporates years of research and development with utterly mind-blowing design and case construction.

Particularly known for their extreme scarce production, Richard Mille was heavily inspired by the motorsports and aerospace industry, employing cutting edge techniques, but at the same time stay true to traditional Swiss watchmaking values. Inspired by F1 racecars, the RM001 caused a shockwave to the community at its launch as finding a tourbillon in a luxury sports watch was ultra rare at the time, not-to-mention the avant-garde ergonomic tonneau case design wears comfortably on the wrist. However within a year the watch has an upgrade to the RM002, and it was the world’s first tourbillon built on a titanium baseplate with a function selecting mechanism for time setting and winding, reminiscent of the gear box in a sports car.

Limited to only 30 pieces, the present RM002-V2 was the second evolution of the model and is a part of the “All Grey” series launched in 2009. The movement baseplate was upgraded to a composite carbon nanofiber with grey PVD coating, enabling greater mechanical, physical and chemical stability even in extreme conditions. A marvelous piece, the collection defined the brand’s success for more than 20 years and will be a classic years to come.
