The famous collection of Patek Philippe world time watches launched in the 1930s. It began with the world time pocket watch reference 605, product of the successful collaboration between Patek Philippe and Louis Cottier, the man who invented the world time mechanism. Later in 1937, Patek Philippe created three experimental references, one of which was the reference 542 HU that went on to become the blueprint for the first serially produced Patek Philippe world time wristwatch, the legendary reference 1415.

Years later in 2016, the reference 5230 was unveiled after several modifications. The patented mechanism allowing the user to simultaneously correct all the World Time displays via one pusher also makes this sophisticated watch incredibly easily to use. Paired with a charcoal grey lacquered dial that has been hand guillochéd and adorned with applied pink gold hour markers, the ingenuity of the mechanics and chic style of the timepiece makes it the perfect partner for any frequent flyer.
