Launched more than 50 years ago, Rolex’s Cosmograph Daytona was designed to be one of the best timing tools a professional racecar driver would ever need. The present lot features a premium platinum Cosmograph Daytona with an ice-blue dial and chestnut brown bezel, exclusive to Rolex’s platinum watches. Not only are watches in platinum the least produced by the manufacturer, the Rolex patented Cerachrom ceramic bezel is highly resistant to corrosives and preventative to color fading and scratches. In addition to its impressive durability, the bezel also illustrates a tachymetric scale, allowing wearers to put the high-performance chronograph to full use.
Illustrated on the ice blue dial are 11 radiant diamonds, replacing the standard hour markers and giving the watch an understated yet luxurious touch. Powered by the in-house calibre 4130 movement, this rare interpretation of the classic sports watch exhibits an undeniably stylish flair, creating a powerful presence on the wrist.
