30½ in. (77.4 cm) drop

30 in. (76.2 cm) maximum diameter

Overall in very good condition. When viewed in person, the patina presents with beautiful dark green hues that add further depth to the naturalistic motifs. The patinated bronze surfaces present with light surface scratches, very minor edge abrasions and areas of faint discoloration. Some of the upper edges and corners of the birds with rare instances of sensitive inpainting, not visually distracting. The recessed areas with some very light soiling throughout consistent with age. The alabaster panels are all in stable, age-appropriate condition. The alabaster exhibits surface scratches throughout, very minor edge abrasions as well as extremely fine hairlines which are stable and not visible unless closely inspected. The alabaster with areas of faint discoloration throughout consistent with heat exposure over time. One inner panel with approximately half of the alabaster surface missing; Sotheby’s is consulting with a professional conservator to have the alabaster restored after the sale. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
