2010
produced by Joseph Walsh Studio, County Cork, Ireland
olive ash, suede upholstery
35 x 21½ x 30¼ in. (88.9 x 54.6 x 76.8 cm)
Overall in excellent condition. The wooden surfaces present with a beautiful and dynamic grain when viewed firsthand, with some extremely minor irregularities inherent to production. The legs present with a few minor scuff marks, not visually distracting. The original suede upholstery is in very good, well-preserved condition and presents with some very gentle rubbing to the seat consistent with gentle use. The seat presents with two faint marks to the suede, the largest measuring approximately 1 ½ in. long and not visually distracting. A beautiful and functional work from the leading figure of contemporary Irish design.
