a complete album of 12 paintings, the last leaf impressed with an illegible two-character collector seal, ink and colour on silk
25.6 by 26.1 cm
Similar to lot 3661, the present album is a contemporaneous copy of the Qianlong imperial ‘Intimate Scenes of Leisurely Love’ album. There are similarities in composition between the present set and the albums attributed to the 18th-century master. For example, in the painting depicting a couple in embrace under prunus trees, the composition closely resembles a leaf from the mid-18th century ‘Intimate Scenes of Leisurely Love’ version sold in our New York rooms, 18th June 1983, lot 11, as well as a leaf of lot 3661.
