Two small white stoneware boxes and covers
9th - 10th century
the plain box inscribed with two characters to the base
d. 6.9 cm
The ribbed box with occasional minor flakes (largest approx. 0.6cm) to the rim and foot. The plain box with a very minute insignificant nick to the cover rim. Otherwise, both boxes are in good overall condition, with typical minor firing imperfections and light surface wear.
