Appears to retain its original cast brass hardware and carrying handles.

In overall very fine condition. Retains a dark rich color. Appears to retain its original pierced cast brass hardware. The interior of the top drawer painted with green paint likely in the 19th century. The sides of the case are fitted with their apparent original cast brass carrying handles. There is a minor old loss of wood above the catch on the bottom drawer and the second drawer is lacking its lock. The other drawers appear to retain their original locks. The bottom two inches of the proper left foot facing (front and side) is replaced. The bottom 1 1/4 inches of the proper right side foot facing is replaced. The bottom 1 inch of proper right rear foot facing replaced. The proper right side base molding is replaced. There is an inch by 1/4 inch patch to the front base molding directly adjacent to proper right foot facing. Secondary woods are chestnut and poplar.
