Description

Château Léoville Las Cases 1982

St. Julien, 2ème Cru Classé

Good level, label slightly wrinkled, soiled, and damp stained

In 2021, ripe and opulent on the nose, an illustration of the vintage and that incredible terrain of the 'Clos' at Léoville Lascases, almost straddling the border between St.Julien and Pauillac, lying just over the little stream that separates the appellations. Explosive blueberries. On the palate, all the tannins have melted into richness and harmony, with wonderful glycerol texture utterly enveloping the structure. Then there is a mega-juicy, succulent finish. Landmark Lascases and a landmark 1982. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

WA 95+

1 imperial - 6 litres (owc)
