At the time when Gérald Genta started his career, no one really designed watches. They were either round or square, large or small with a leather strap or precious metal bracelet. Genta always considered himself a watch creator and never a watchmaker.
A great illustration of this skills is illustrated with the present prototype design. No strap or bracelet, the watch is suspended from a gold necklace highlighted with a beautifully crafted flying gem set Mallard. Part of the limited series of animal watches, the design was executed in 1984.
