Many of Gérald Genta's creations were on the verge of being a jewellery piece and therefore it is no surprise that he actually designed some jewellery pieces as well. The present painting shows a jumping hours wristwatch with retrograde minutes and corresponding ring. Both the watch and what appears to be diamond diamond ring have the typical octagonal shape which match each other perfectly.
