Gérald Genta

Van Cleef and Arpels is one of many prestigious brands Gérald Genta collaborated with. In fact, Genta was very friendly and admired Pierre Arpels and they often enjoyed pushing boundaries when making pieces together. Faithful to their shared attention to details and elegance, the Picasso of watches imagined three variations around a same theme. His incredible genius is revealed in the present lot through the simplicity of the design. The creation is full of understated grace, a round case with a gem-set bezel with contrasting stones used to show the hours, a minimalist dial and central lugs with marked extremities on each of the bar.
